Acts 17:1-34
Paul and Silas continue traveling on their mission trip and they stop in a town called Thessalonica. It says that the people there listen to Paul and then studied the Scriptures to verify or even disprove the message that they heard.Â
How often do we compare the stuff that we hear to the Bible? Do we take the time to know what is true and what is not compared to the Bible?
Starting in verse 22, Paul gives a speech to the council that gets a bit of a mixed reaction. Some people made fun and shut him down, some it didn’t affect at all and other believed. When we tall people about Jesus and about the Good News it will sometimes get mixed reactions. But even having only a few come to Him is worth it!
