John 2:13-22
We see a side of Jesus here that isn’t talked about a whole lot. He got angry! In fact He got so ticked off that He got physical! It was NOT an uncontrolled rage, though. There’s a big difference. Jesus used His anger for good, not evil. But It took Jesus getting a little upset to open everyones eyes to what was really being done there in the temple. I think there are a couple of things we can take from this.

Number one is respect for God’s house, the actual building. The temple (church) is God’s house and we need to treat it as such. But I think more importantly we see that Christ referred to His body as a temple. Once we become followers of Christ and we accept Him as our savior, our body becomes a temple for God! He is living in us! How are we treating that temple? Do we treat it with respect and keep it healthy and a worthy dwelling place for the creator of the universe? Or do we treat it like a marketplace and let anything and everything in, weather its good for us or not? I’m not just talking about the alcohol & drugs & premarital sex (although those things are definitely not good and you should stay away from those as well), but our inner soul as well. Are you feeding it spiritually? What about your habits? Where do you spend your time and what are you doing with your time?

Take an honest look at your temple. Does the way you treat it honor God, or tick Him off?

Nice web site. My daughter, Courtney is involved with Sr. High Connect. She is having a blast and in all reality, I’ve already seen a positive change in her…Keep up the good work!
