Senior High Connect is the high school youth ministry at ABT and is lead by Youth Pastor Jason Knight & his wife Valerie.

In Connect we strive to create an atmosphere that is welcoming for everyone, especially visitors and friends!  We challenge our students to “connect” with the creator of the universe through a personal relationship with Him! Our Sunday mornings have a relaxed vibe- we take time to get to know each other. Our teaching is designed help students to make their relationship with Christ real and to help make the Bible relevant to apply to their everyday lives.

Wednesday Night PLUG IN is our mid-week time to get together. There is praise & worship time with our band,  events, games occasionally , a short challenge, small group time and awesome food!

We believe that serving is a vital part of spiritual growth, so our students are encouraged to help in various areas of the church including Kidz City and other children’s ministries, dramas, the church cafe’s, worship team, and more.

Every summer students have the opportunity to change the world through a short term mission trip.  In 2008 we traveled to the Bahamas, and this past Summer we stayed in Connect a for a week of mission work in our home town of Akron, Ohio! We called it Mission Akron! In the summer of 2010 we will be going to Oceana West Virginia to partner with a local church and help them put on a week long children’s VBS type of program.

Don’t forget the fun! We have regular activities planned monthly such as the Alive Festival, Indians & Cavs games, youth conferences, Cedar Point, bonfires and more.  Join us as we walk together toward a stronger connection with God.  We’d love to meet you!
